In my inbox today I had an email from Neil Patel with subject line “Why I Work During The Holidays” about his latest post on his QuickSprout blog and it is something that I have been doing for a long time.
I prefer to work on holidays and on weekends because my productivity is higher on weekends and holidays than on weekdays. It is because weekends and holidays don’t have meetings for me to attend or answer high priority phone calls so I can focus lot more. On top of that I have lot lesser emails to handle on weekends and holidays and even if there are emails, those can wait as people don’t expect replies on weekends/holidays.
I am back to blogging and I could have easily delayed that for a week or two and get started after the holiday season but these holidays are perfect time for me to get ahead of time and reduce workload.
Don’t feel sorry for me (and Neil) because I am enjoying as much as you are enjoying your holidays but working as well.
